Bulldogs v Cowboys

After their defeat last week the Bulldogs find themselves needing a victory here if they are to maintain their current fourth place spot due to the Cowboys being only two points behind them with a better points difference, the Bulldogs lost another crunch game against the Broncos last week 20-10 which has put enormous pressure on the team to win their last two games in a bid for a top four birth. The Cowboys bounced back to form in round 24 with a comfortable 34-6 victory against a lack luster Warriors outfit to give them every chance of climbing back into the top four in a bid to win back to back Premierships. After suffering three defeats on the spin the Cowboys knew nothing more than a win last week was needed and they duly obliged in front of their home crowd setting up this blockbuster in the process. Although the Cowboys have struggled of late they generally turn in a good performance when needed and if they reproduce their effort that saw them crush the Bulldogs 36-0 in round 20 then they will be very hard to beat once again.

Tip - Cowboys Win $1.73

Storm v Broncos

After last weeks loss against the Raiders the Storm bounced back in round 24 defeating the Sea Eagles 38-18 keeping them at the top of the ladder with only one more win needed to secure the minor premiership for this season. Suliasi Vunivalu starred for the Storm with four tries on the night as the Storm ran in seven tries to the Sea Eagles three ensuring a comfortable victory. Brisbane blew the top four race wide open with a 20-10 victory at home against the Bulldogs after a superb defensive effort throughout the match from the men in Maroon, that win sees the Broncos close the gap to only two points to fourth place and a win here and a win for the Cowboys this week would see three teams go into the last game on 32 points. Melbourne go into this with an impressive 9-1 home record this season so you would have to give them the nod in this but the Broncos are quite capable of over turning the odds if they play at their best.

Tip - Storm Win $1.44 Take The Line $1.90 -6 Storm

Sea Eagles v Raiders

Manly suffered their third straight defeat last week when going down 38-18 at home to the Storm so with this being their last home game of the season they will want to go out with a bang in front of their home support after a mixed season which has seen them lose seven of their eleven fixtures at home. Canberra cemented their place in the top four last week with a comeback win against the Eels at GIO Stadium, after trailing 18-4 at half time the Raiders dominated the second half running in four unanswered tries on their way to a valuable win which means another win here would guarantee a top four finish for the first time since 2003. With the Raiders riding the crest of a wave at the minute it would take a huge effort for the Sea Eagles to spoil the party here to preference is for Canberra to make it nine from their last nine.

Tip - Raiders Win $1.38

Titans v Panthers

A huge game for the Titans here with them knowing one more win would guarantee them finals football this season and with their final game being away against the Cowboys they would rather not have to go up to Townsville needing a win so they will be hoping to get the job done this week against the Panthers. The Titans come into this off the back of two wins but they will know they will have to be on top of their game this week against a team who are in form and fighting for a top eight place themselves. Penrith made it three wins from their last three outings easily dispatching the Tigers last week 40-10 at Pepper Stadium in one of their best performances of the season in a pressure game for both sides and they will be quietly confident they can come to Cbus Super Stadium and take the two points. The Titans defeated the Panthers earlier this season 28-24 so it is sure to be a close game but preference goes to the Panthers who have more about them when their playing at the top of their game and last weeks performance shows they are in good touch.

Tip - Panthers Win $2.1

Sharks v Roosters

Cronulla are finding it tough at the minute with three losses on the trot since their draw against the Titans ended their fantastic unbeaten run and while they are assured of a top four birth they will no doubt be worried about the down turn in form at such a crucial time of the season. The Roosters made it back to back wins last week when they thumped the Dragons 42-6 at Allianz Stadium, the game was still in the balance at half time with the Roosters leading 14-6 but a dominant second half performance saw Sydney run in another five tries while keeping the Dragons scoreless. A few injury concerns for the Sharks will not help their cause but they will want to finish the season off well as they make a bid for their first ever Premiership and they are taken to get back to winning ways.

Tip - Sharks Win $1.44

Warriors v Wests Tigers

The Warriors were no match for the Cowboys last week and suffered their second successive defeat meaning two victories are the only thing that will see them playing finals football this season. they go into this with a positive 6-4 home record this year but they have not been the force of old on home turf and they will know nothing but their best will be good enough this week. Wests Tigers suffered their second consecutive defeat all but ending their season in the process, with an inferior points difference the Tigers know even two wins from their remaining games may well not be good enough to see them climb into the top eight but they will surely come out all guns blazing on the off chance things do fall their way. One of these teams season will be over after this game and on paper it could go either way but with the Warriors on home turf they just shade the vote.

Tip - Warriors Win $1.33

Knights v Rabbitohs

Newcastle were outclassed once again last week when they went down at home against the Titans 26-6 in what was their 20th defeat of the season. This is the Knights last home game of the year and probably their best chance of notching only their second win of the year against a team that's struggled for most of the season especially the back end. After such a poor run the Rabbitohs have finally found their early season form again all be it way too late in the season to make an impact but their last two victories over the Warriors and the Sharks have certainly opened the door for other teams fighting it out in the top half of the table. With the Bunnies back to near their best it may well be prudent to give them the nod here against a team that are just waiting for the bus to pick them up and take them to the 2017 season.

Tip - Rabbitohs Win $1.2

Eels v Dragons

Parramatta looked like they were going to pull off a shock win last week against the Raiders after going in at half time 18-4 to the good but in the second half the Eels were blown off the park as the Raiders showed why they are set to finish top four. In a season that the Eels would want to forget for many reasons they will want to go out on a high in front of their home support with a victory in their final home fixture of 2016. After keeping their season alive with an impressive win against the Sharks the Dragons were brought back down to earth last week when they were played off the park against the Roosters eventually going down 42-6 ending their finals hopes in the process. In a game that now bares no meaning for either club it will be only pride at stake here and with the Eels on home turf preference is for them in what should be a close affair.

Tip - Eels Win $1.57
